Jill loves all things birth, avocados, and Jesus! While that’s pretty much all you need to know about her in a nutshell, let’s expand a bit!

Jill has been in the birth world in some capacity since 2012. She began as a doula and quickly realized that midwifery was where her heart truly lies. She opened New Generation Midwifery in the summer of 2023 and offers services to low-risk women who want to birth their babies in the comfort of their own homes. Her goal is to build a trusting relationship with you throughout your pregnancy and work together as a team to meet your goals. While she never promises a birth at home, she does promise that she will do everything she can to keep you and your baby as safe and healthy as possible. She does this through a model of true informed consent, education, and shared decision-making between you and her. Jill is passionate about not only pregnancy and birth but also lactation! She works hard to help mothers reach their goals of breastfeeding successfully.

Jill holds the Certified Professional Midwife credential with the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) and an Associate’s Degree in Midwifery from the National College of Midwifery. She is licensed as a Direct Entry Midwife in the state of Utah. Her training consists of over 12 years in the birth world at large, including 3 years in an apprenticeship with Brenda Parrish, CPM at Traditional Birth Services in Atlanta, and a short-term residential apprenticeship with Heather Shelley, LDEM, CPM at Birthing Your Way in Lehi, UT . She holds current certifications in CPR and NRP (Neonatal resuscitation), and is a certified lactation counselor (CLC). She is also a certified Doula, childbirth educator, and placenta encapsulator.

When she isn’t working with her clients, Jill is spending time with her husband, Robert and her kids, Abby and Isaac. As a family, they enjoy playing board games, watching Marvel and Star Wars movies and making music together! Jill has homeschooled her children completely and loves spending her days with them. Abigail likes to take part in New Generation Midwifery by encapsulating placentas and serving as a sibling doula. Isaac, on the other hand, contributes moral support to his mama!

Jill serves families in the greater Atlanta area, usually within a 1-hour radius of my office in Tucker, GA.
